Gearing up for 2013...
it's been a tough year with the loss Kate's dad. he was an anchor for this family, and we miss him so much.
but we've tried to focus all of the grief into useful work, and we're glad to say the year feels like a victory, even in the midst of all this sadness.
this christmas we are blessed to be starting new adventures. our growing boy, of course. Ryan, who's given us so much joy already. but also a vocation adventure with the Remember Me Mission. the starting process has been long, but we have faith that this is where God is leading us next. We have already received proposals from several orphanages requesting help and we will start the giving in 2013. hoping to see big things from God as we pursue this passion.
in the works for 'creative projects' to benefit RMM is a children's book based on Mark's song, Remember Me. we've been talking to several local artists, and the possibilities are amazing...
finally, Kate has been writing a little for Women of Vision's blog (womenofvision.org), helping them bring to life some voices from the world of women's health.
it has been a hard year. but by the grace of God, it has been a good year. Romans 12 exhorts us to 'be patient in tribulation and constant in prayer', and that's where we've been. just starting to see a little bit of the light beyond...
